Mobile Phone Free Acer Aspire Laptop
The Acer Aspire is a popular entry level laptop from the budget manufacturer Acer. Acers stock and trade is producing relatively high performance machines for those on a budget. Pound for Pound Acer laptops tend to out perform those of other brands in the same price bracket. The weakness of acer laptops is often that their build quality suffers. Acer Laptops In General
Acer are a Tiwan based manufacturer with a solid reputation for providing high performance machines on a budget. Acer laptops are often well rated and well received in terms of their performance, price and components, but criticised for their appearance and build quality.
Some common problems with Acers are that the keyboards are not particularly durable, and, after heavy use over a year or so the letters on the keys sometimes wear off. Hinges on the lid often wear badly too.
That said, in spite of the weaknesses in build quality they are popular machines, and I always consider them when looking for a new laptop. As with any purchase you really need to consider what your needs are. If you are looking at occasional use, requiring good performance, for example, you wish to edit video and photos, and occasionally surf the web, using your laptop on a casual basis, then these machines are ideal.
If on the other hand you do not need so much processing power, but intend to really give that keyboard a hammering eight hours a day, using your laptop primarily for word processing (you are a student for example), then I would be inclined to look for a Fujitsu or Toshiba, who tend to offer better build quality but lower performance.
Of course these are generalisations and you need to evaluate all deals available to you at the time you want to purchase. You may find a Toshiba with better performance on offer, equally, Acer may produce a high quality keyboard one day. What I have said above is really my opinion (for what it is worth) having bought and used several machines from different manufacturers.
The Acer Aspire Range
Acer are a budget manufacturer (apart from their Ferari machines), and the Aspire series are pretty well a budget line within that manufacturers line up. What you are getting with an Acer Aspire is cheap and cheerul asthetics, often quite a bulky un-attractive machine, but one which often has useful innovations and good performance. For example, an aspire I bought recently had the fan on the top of the keyboard. Ugly as hell, but, if you use laptops you will know that having the air intake on the bottom is a bad idea, as it is easily covered. If the intake gets covered, your laptop gets hot. If your laptop gets hot, it will slow down. That is one example of the kind of thing Acer do with their machines.... putting function before form. Clever ideas, performance focussed on a budget.
